Photography and Youth Group...

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you've all had a great week and are  ready for a fun weekend! My mum and I have a free day on Saturday and I'm planning on getting my second ear piercings done which will be great. I've wanted them for ages! Yesterday I looked after Indi while my mum did the school run to get my brothers. We made a cubby house outside on the veranda and watched the rain. Here's some pics: It was the cutest! Library day...

Another day, another post... Today is Thursday and I spent the day at the library. It is still raining heavily and some places are beginning to flood. I loved sitting in the library listening to the rain while I do my schoolwork. Here's what the view looked like.  Loving this rain! Anyway... Here's my day:  9 (ish) Maths 1 hour + 15 minutes times tables revision 8, 9, 12 (there will be a full times tables test next week - last week of term) Morning Tea break 10:30  English - complete and tidy up / proofread bonus chapter. It will be marked over the weekend. 11:30  French - revise current words and begin to write the speech to present to the family.  It should ideally go for 3-4 minutes. 12pm  Lunch and break 12:45  Science - NEW UNIT - Farming and Permaculture Undertake a research study into traditional and contemporary farming / gardening methods. To begin with, do some general research...

Lots of French and a bit of Art...

Hey everyone, happy Tuesday!  Today was a French kind of day. Looking at lots of language and culture things at the moment. I just found out today that next term I will be presenting a speech to my family members including my grandparents. I will also have to prepare a typical French meal and decorate as if it was a  French  restaurant. I am really looking forward to this but am a bit nervous because I have a lot to learn before then! Here's my day... 9am  Maths 45 minutes ; times tables revision 4, 6, 12 10am  Morning Tea and break 10:15  - French revision and new words for the week. Next term there will be a presentation with a French speech to some family members, so continue to add a few more phrases. Things such as “Thank you for coming” and “This is my home”, or “Let us eat” (these phrases may sound mysterious, but it will make sense once the next French unit is started) 11am  - Art - next lesson in the program...

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope your weekend's went well, mine was great. On Saturday we had a home day but spent the afternoon / evening at a friends house. We had a swim, a dance party and dinner there. Then on Sunday we drove to Brisbane for my Poppy's birthday, we went to a park  and  got fish and chips. I hung out with  Indi  and our  cousin Lauren who is 2.  It was fun! Here's my day today... 7:45  head to school to drop boys off ; go to Helensvale Library In the library care for Indigo and get her some books.  Borrow some new fiction, as well as look for any relevant books on Stephen Hawking (for educational free reading) ; also on Mother Theresa who will included in a study soon.  10 (ish) home for morning tea 11am  - Maths 1 hour 12pm  - I Love a Sunburnt Country memorisation 12:30  - Lunch and break 1:15  - Write the “bonus chapter” for the end of Insurgent ...

Poems and Novels...

Hey loyal followers, if there are any!  Today is Thursday 👊🏻 Nearly Friday! Today was a bit of a catch up day finishing some things up and continuing on from recent lessons. I kept reading the poem I am  studying  'My Country', I have learnt the first 3 stanzas now and am actually enjoying the challenge of  remembering  all the lines.  Anyway, here's my day...  9am  Maths 1 hour + Revision of times tables 3, 4, 6 and 7 10:15  Morning Tea 10:30  French - Revision and continuing learning the words for this week - remember test  on Friday 10:45  - French History Essay - Read the feedback and proofread the essay 11 (ish) - Today Stephen Hawking passed away. He was an extremely intelligent man who contributed much to the world of science and mathematics. Hey guys,  So today is Monday. The beginning of Week 7!! This term is going ridiculously fast! Only three weeks of school left before the Easter holidays which is crazy. I'm really loving the work I'm doing at the moment, its all stuff I've never learnt before which is always good. Here's my day... 9am  Maths 1 hour + 15 minutes times tables revision of 4, 6 and 7. 10:15  Morning Tea break 10:30  Begin reading Animal Farm, taking notes throughout it of anything interesting / confusing / key plot points 11:30  French revision plus add 5 new words to the vocabulary list 11:45  Poetry - Continue revising / learning My Sunburnt Country Lunch break whenever finished. Shopping for materials, then Craft - headband making in the afternoon.  Extra things to do this afternoon :  Make sure ALL areas in One Note are up to date, including art with Indi, reflections, recipes, etc. Choose the next art activity to do...

Coffee and Youth Group...

Hey everyone!  Today was an awesome day! This morning I had the morning off and we went to the Arts Centre for morning tea and a walk. It was really nice, I didn't start school until 11am 😊 There was an art exhibition happening full of self portraits done by Aboriginal children. It was really interesting. Here's a pic of me and Miss Indigo this morning... ARTS CENTRE for coffee and check out exhibitions, walking / swimming etc. Home for morning tea 10:30/11 ish - Finish Vanuatu proposal! French revision for test which will be after lunch Revise the first stanza of the poem, and begin learning the next one Lunch and break 45 minutes French Test Divergent response - study questions. In the program there is a new Special Reflective Writing task on “Divergent”. Work through these study questions, adding them into One Note. This should take around 1 hour to complete. French and Vanuatu...

Hey there,  Today is Thursday so nearly the end of the week!! I stayed up late last night watching '10 things I hate about you'. Great movie! But I am tired today... And having an overexcited 1 year old wake you up isn't the best thing at 7 o'clock in the morning! Here's my day... 9am  Maths - 1 hour 10:15am  - Look at the feedback for “The Help” reflective piece, and edit. 10:30am  - Please proofread the French History/Culture essay. There are some minor grammatical errors, as well as some incomplete sentences. Have the final copy ready to submit by Friday.  11am  - French - language study. Please continue to revise the words. Look up any pronunciation that is confusing. Practice writing out (by hand) the words and phrases. Speaking them aloud. Listen to the pronunciation, and play around with sounding more “French”. Hello everyone!  Today is a Wednesday and the next episode of Riverdale comes out today after a month's break so I am hyped! Anyone else excited?? Today it poured all day and it was cold! I had to pull out some warmer clothes  which was awesome because I love cold weather. Here's my day... 9am  Maths 1 hour 10am  Morning tea break 15 minutes 10:15am  Art - Next lesson in the program When finished make another large Waldorf rainbow star 12pm  Lunch and break 12:45  History - Write the paper on The Help 1:30pm  History - 30-45 minutes - Continue writing the essay on French history and culture. Look at having this completed by  Friday For art today I looked at Outer Space drawings using oil pastels on black paper. It had a really great effect! Hey guys,  Yesterday I actually had a day off which is why I didn't post. It is now Tuesday here and it has been raining for the last 48 hours. I spent this morning at the library, doing school, reading books and drinking coffee. It was the perfect morning. Here's the rest of my day... 8:30  ish - LIBRARY 8:45  Maths - 1 hour Morning tea break - 15 mins 10am  History - Continue reading ‘The Help’ - 1 hour (ish) Start working on the informative paper on 'The Help' and the message is sends.  Home - Lunch - break 45 minutes 1pm  - French - new words + revision of old ones.  Also, find  2 short phrases  rather than single words, and add these to the repertoire. There will be a revision test  on Friday . 1:30pm  - Making Waldorf rainbow stars  Today was a relatively easy and fun day but I still got a lot done. Hey guys,  Today is Friday!!! So I only had a short day with a free afternoon! And then Youth Group tonight which was awesome! Here's my day... 9am  Maths 45 mins ; Times Tables revision 15 mins - 8, 9 and 12 10am  Morning Tea 10:15  - History - Continue researching and working on the French essay 11am  - English - Continue reading The Help 12pm  - Lunch and break time Afternoon Activities - Resume - there is a great Template in Word. Also, look up online ‘Australian resume - current’ and make sure everything on there is included.  Art activity with Indigo - edible finger paint.  That was my day and then I had youth group tonight which was really fun. We had our own mind Commonwealth Games with different activities. They were all with a twist though.
